Sports Fishing on Lake Arenal


Enjoy 4 hours of fishing (casting or trolling) for the Guapote (Rainbow Bass) Costa Rica’s most sought after freshwater fish species and the Machaca, which although being smaller than its relative the tarpon, is known for being a tenacious fighter. Fishing on Lake Arenal is excellent virtually year round with the best result are often found from January through April.

Includes: Transport, specialized fishing boat, professional equipment, fruit, snacks and drinks.

Rafting on the Río Sarapiqui


This tour starts with a drive to the town of la Virgen de Sarapiquí. Once at the river and following a safety briefing we will hit the water for a ten mile ride over class III rapids that will take approximately 2 hours. Upon leaving the river we will have a delicious typical lunch before heading back.

Includes: Transport, equipment, fruit, lunch and guide.
What to bring:  Swimming suit, towel, sandals, sun block, camera, repellent and change of clothes.

Mountain Bike Tour


Enjoy an adventure trip, observing the most important attractions at the same time,     the forest, the volcano and the lake because they can be experienced on the same path. The Journey star taking an old trail to the forest, located just at Arenal’s dam, continuing until the Arenal Volcano National Park’s main entrance. The route continues to the observatory having the opportunity to observe the best and most impressive panoramic views of the volcano. Later, we will return by the main road back to the departure point.

Rafting Class IV Rio Toro


The adrenaline-packed Rio Toro explodes whit a series of over 45 continuous class 3 and 4rapids- you’ll paddle 3 hours through unexplored, tropical wilderness in a deep canyon whit waterfalls, exotic animals and tropical birds.

It’s all about teamwork as you and your Costa Rican river guides negotiate exciting rapids whit names like Morning Coffee, Piña Colada and the Devil’s Elbow-for you best day in Costa Rica.

Arenal Volcano Hike


You’ll travel 25 min. to the far west side of The Volcano to begin the tour in the National Park. You’ll cross the river, and spend about 2 hours exploring the park.  Your reward at the end of this trail is the path created by the 1992 lava flows. You have time to explore and your guide will explain the history of this magnificent volcano.

Canyoning

Canyoneering is a brand new sport that’s becoming very popular the world over! Near the Arenal Volcano, our rugged, mountainous terrain is ideal for incredible canyoneering options & huge, breathtaking waterfalls! 
This unique, multi-sport adventure combines rappelling, down-climbing and river tracing in a deep, tropical canyon. Our Lost Canyon Adventure is an experience of a lifetime – go where very few have had the privilege to roam! Imagine yourself in the midst of thick rainforest at the top of a magical canyon full of tropical waterfalls with surprises each step of the way.

Travel the old-fashion way! You’ve heard about Costa Rica’s famous backroads – you’ll start off by doing a fun 4x4 off-road adventure as you climb about 15 minutes up into a quiet mountainside community.

Prepare to get wet! Your guides will give you a thorough safety talk to explain important rappelling and down-climbing techniques. You will be provided high-quality technical climbing gear such as a harness, helmet, gloves and you will get to practice your 1st descent on a mini, 15-ft waterfall, to get the hang of things.

Take a deep breath! And there you are, on a sturdy, government-approved platform looking down into the depths of a 150-ft massive waterfall. You’ll rappel down for the thrill of a lifetime! Make your way along the river bed by down-climbing and rappelling a series of six waterfalls that get gradually bigger and… BIGGER!

Save the best for last! The biggest and most-exciting waterfall is your last descent… you’ll finish with a 200ft-guided-rappel at the end!

The hike back up takes about 10 minutes, but take your time to enjoy the intense rainforest that surrounds you! At the top, you’ll arrive to our Canyon House where you can change into your dry clothes and then sit down to your best meal in Costa Rica!

Recommended for ages 13-55 in good physical condition. Special arrangements can be made for children between 10 and 13 years at an additional cost. Private trips available.

Cerró Chato Hike


Cerro Chato is known as the Arenal Volcanoes brother is a sleeping volcano. You will hike up its west side and get down in to the crater where a beautiful lake is located. From here you will hike up again to the trail and walk down the east side of la Fortuna Waterfall. This tour is very hard and is for serious hikers only.

Departure Time: 07: 00 am.

Car-Boat-Car to Monteverde


This is the easiest quickest way to get from La Fortuna to Monteverde as you will be picked up at your hotel and taken to Lake Arenal. From there you will cross the lake by boat to Rio Chiquito and continue from there by car to Monteverde with a total traveling time of approximately 3 hours.

Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge


Visit one of the Wild Life Refuge whit category of International Humedal ( Ramsar )  the most Variable quantity of endemic species and migratory birds, de exotic Jabiru which is 1 meter high, the Roseate Spoonbill, the nest of the Cormonares, the pretty Ibises, among many others. Also you have the possibility in this trip to observe other animals.

Canopy Tour


Combine horseback riding with an exiting ride through the treetops of the rainforest. This is the oldest and best canopy tour in La Fortuna and if you’re looking for thrills, this is the place. We offer the tour whit out horseback riding.

ATV Tour


This tour takes three hours and it is designed to be enjoyed by anyone, It does not matter if you have experience on ATV or not. The vehicles are 350cc, and they are automatic and very easy to use. The tour is begins with safety chat about driving the ATV and tour instructions. Part of the tour goes around cattle pastures, lakes, rivers, challenge wetlands, off roads, primary rainforest trails, where you will be closer to the best volcano’s view available.

Rio Celeste full day


Mysterious and imposing, in the very bowels of the Tenorio Volcano, manifestations of hidden power transforms the union of nature into a sky blue stream, giving birth to one of the most extraordinary phenomenon’s of nature " Light Blue River". Along the river you’ll find hot spring, bends of heavenly tranquility  and waterfall of singular beauty, all surrounded by varied flora and fauna.

Horseback Riding to the Volcano


You’ll enjoy a good riding for around 3 hours into Costa Rican faro, bordering  the Volcano, through the rain forest, the trails lead to a place where the panoramic view of San Carlos valley abounds with flora and fauna, wild animals can also be seen while enjoying the ride.

Horseback riding to the La Fortuna Waterfall


A horseback riding of approximately 50 minutes will bring you to the trailhead. From there a 15 minute hike through the rainforest will bring you to the Falls. Swim in the crystal clear water or just admire the falls before hiking back to the trailhead and riding your horse back down the mountain.

Venado Caves


Get ready to get wet and dirty as you explore these caves formed millions of years ago. ¨The Papaya,¨ ¨The Windows¨ and ¨The Birthing Canal¨ are just a few of interesting formations and passage ways you'll experience on this unique tour.

Safari float trip Peñas Blancas River


As we float down the Peñas Blancas River you will have the opportunity to see monkeys, sloths crocodiles, iguanas and many species of Birds

Hanging Bridges


One of the Arenal area’s newest attractions is located in 250 hectares (617 acres) of primary rainforest. It consists of 3 Kms (1.8 miles) of trail which pass over 15 bridges ranging from 5 to 100 meters (17 to 331 feet) in length. While on the trails you will experience impressive views of the rainforest canopy, birds, rivers, waterfalls and visibility permitting, The Arenal Volcano.
